Grade 9 will be studying the following units this year in computer class:
*Data - In this unit students will be learning what data is, how the motherboard and CPU works with transferring data and how to measure data.
* Introduction into HTML - Students in this unit will be introduced to the coding language that is used to write websites. They will learn the tags and code their own functioning website using an application - Brackets.
*Introduction to Computer Science - this course revisits Javascript programming covered in grade 7 and readies the students for AP Computer Science in Java. Course information [Introduction to CS] [AP in Java].
*Google Drive - students will learn how to use Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Slides. How to create, edit and share documents using Google.
* Typing - students will continue to develop their typing skills.
